A Communication Tool for Parents

We will be using ParentSquare to share timely and important school information with families. ParentSquare provides a safe, easy, and convenient way to receive communication from principals, teachers, and staff.

ParentSquare will be the primary platform for school communication from Cayuga Onondaga BOCES. We encourage you to log in, explore your account, and customize your notification preferences so you receive information in the way that works best for you.

Please note: You will need to create a ParentSquare account with Cayuga Onondaga BOCES, even if your home district already uses ParentSquare. This ensures you receive all communications related to your child’s program.

You will use ParentSquare to:

• Get emergency alerts
• Attendance alerts 
• Receive messages from your student's principal via email, text or app notification
• Access to school postings and photos
• Fill out forms and permission slips
• Communicate in your preferred language
• Direct messages to teachers and staff
• Calendar information
• Send and receive class information

ParentSquare will send an activation letter to your email account. You can also sign up by visiting the ParentSquare website and clicking "sign on" in the upper right corner or by downloading the free app on your device. You will need to use the same email you provided for SchoolTool.
