Camp Create 2026:A Week of Innovation and Creativity! 

What an incredible week it has been at Camp Create! As we celebrate the final day, we are reflecting on a week filled with creativity, exploration, collaboration, new friendships, and plenty of fun.

Camp Create gave students the opportunity to design, build, create, experiment, problem solve, and bring their ideas to life through an exciting combination of creative challenges, technology, hands on making, and skill building.

From the opening Design Sprint to hands on Skill Builder Sessions, workshops, FeedbackFest, and our culminating MakerFest, students experienced what it means to take an idea from concept to creation.

Main Learning Pathways

• Arcade and Video Game Design
  Students learned the fundamentals of game logic, mechanics, and interactive storytelling. Participants worked with digital tools to code, design, and play test their own custom video games from the ground up.
   
• Box Breakers
  Participants challenged traditional design boundaries by turning simple raw materials into complex functional structures. This track focused on out of the box thinking, structural integrity, and rapid prototyping.
   
• Cosplay and Character Design
  Campers explored character creation by combining costume design, prop building, and artistic craft. Students learned how to bring fictional concepts to life using lightweight materials and creative construction techniques.
   
• Cardboard Construction and Project Work
  Students designed and built projects using cardboard while developing creativity, engineering thinking, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
   
• Interactive Technology and Robotics
  With Makey Makey and Hummingbird Robotics, students explored how technology, electronics, and creativity can work together to create interactive experiences.
   
• 3D Printing and Digital Fabrication
  Students turned digital ideas into physical creations through 3D printing and explored the design to fabrication process.
   
• Canva and Glowforge
  Campers combined digital design with fabrication to transform their ideas into tangible projects using laser cutting technology.
   
• Cricut Design and Fabrication
  Students created projects using heat transfer applications and stickers while gaining experience with digital design software and hands on production tools.
   
• Sewing and Textiles
  Campers developed practical life skills through sewing and textile based project work, learning fabric assembly and tool operation.
   
• Painting and Paper Mache
  Traditional art techniques gave students additional opportunities to experiment with textures, sculpt forms, and visually express their ideas.

Students were not simply learning how to use equipment. They were encouraged to think creatively, collaborate with others, solve problems, learn from mistakes, and turn their own ideas into something tangible.
