Students Display Talent at SkillsUSA Regional Competition

Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES SkillsUSA students showcased their talents in the Area Two Regional Competition, held on February 6th at Morrisville State College.
After many hours of preparation, students competed against peers in their respective categories. Top performing students will go on to the statewide competition at the New York State Fairgrounds in April.
The following students placed in regionals:
Auto Vehicle Maintenance- Owen Christ, 1st place
Baking and Pastry - Leah Tidd, 1st place
Cabinet Making- Brianna White, 2nd place
Carpentry Assistant- Basic - Aleph Harris, 1st place
Crime Scene Investigation- Joel Lopez, Lanora Smith, Makenzie Whitten 2nd place (team event)
Criminal Justice- Tyler Langdon, 2nd place
Diesel Tech- Elijah Coleman, 3rd place
Heavy Equipment Operations- Logan Burnett, 3rd place
Information Technology Services- Charlie Patterson, 1st place
Medical Math- Jackson Solfiell, 3rd place
Power Equipment- Devin Pollock, 3rd place
Welding- Ben Kulis, 1st place
