CampCreate a Huge Success

This year’s Camp Create was a huge success. Campers joined us from Auburn, Cato-Meridian, Jordan Elbridge, Port Byron, Moravia, Southern Cayuga, Union Springs & Weedsport.
Students selected and participated in one of the unique, hands-on Creation Workshops:
👾 Cardboard Arcade Game Building
🕹 Retro Video Game Design
🎲 Breakout Box Challenge
🎭Cosplay Costume Creation
📚Papermaking & Book Binding
Throughout the week, students used the design thinking process to bring their project vision a reality.
They leveled up their skills by selecting from a menu of Skill Builder Sessions - cardboard construction, 3D printing, sewing, Cricut vinyl design, laser cutting, Hummingbird robotics, Makey Makey circuitry, and more!
All of their hard work was celebrated at our MakerFest, where campers showcased their incredible, one-of-a-kind creations to their families, school administrators, and community! Visitors were able to read stories, attempt challenging escape rooms, play arcade games, and enjoy a cosplay parade. It was an amazing event packed full of camper creativity!
Camp Create wouldn't be possible without the incredible behind-the-scenes support of our amazing teams!
A huge thanks to our IT Department for keeping the tech running smoothly, our Maintenance/Facilities Team for setting the stage—literally—and keeping our spaces ready for creativity, and our Instructional Support Services Department for helping us power up the tools and ideas that brought campers’ visions to life!
It takes a team to build a camp like this—and we’re so grateful to each of you.
