The Odyssey of the Mind program is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program. The regional OotM tournament is sponsored by the Talented and Gifted Committee at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES and open to all students in our nine component school districts, K-12. The regional tournament is hosted at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES in the spring. First place teams represent the region at the State tournament later in the spring. For over 20 years Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES has been represented by at least one team at a World Finals every year.
