Day Care Services
Our program for children aged six weeks to five years old and our school-age program are planned with a keen awareness of the special characteristics, needs, ways of learning, and interests of young children. We recognize how important this period is as a foundation for the child's total development--social, emotional, physical, and intellectual.
Young children are active, curious and inquisitive. They are engrossed in their own worlds. They want to learn. Yet, because they are self-centered at this stage of development, they have difficulty understanding someone else's point of view. As a result, we place emphasis upon a "laboratory" approach to learning. Children learn best by DOING! They must be actively involved in the learning process. Thought grows from action, not from words.
Our center strives to provide an atmosphere where the child feels secure, confident, and free to explore and question. We work towards fostering a positive self-concept. Our desire is to have children feel good about themselves, while learning as much as possible about the world in which they live.
