The annual rodeo presented by the Heavy Equipment & Repair Operation program at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is being honored by the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA).
The annual rodeo event is being recognized as part of NYSSBA’s Champions of Change for Kids program. The program seeks to recognize creative and unique learning opportunities throughout the state of New York.
“It has come to our attention that there is a creative program in your school district that deserves a pat on the back,” said NYSSBA Executive Director Timothy Kremer in a release. “We understand there are many incredibly meritorious programs and projects throughout the state, and NYSSBA is celebrating yours.”
District Superintendent Dr. Brian Hartwell said Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is humbled by the recognition and thanked NYSSBA for the opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of students and staff.
“Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES prides itself on creating innovative, hands-on learning opportunities for all our students. We are thrilled to see the Heavy Equipment Rodeo being recognized for its innovation and creativity.”
To help celebrate the occasion, Sandra Ruffo, the NYSSBA Area 4 Director, will be present at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES with an official banner on Thursday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m. in Presentation Room 3 at the BOCES Regional Education Center.
