Values in Action - Fall 2022

Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES has recently established a quarterly “Values in Action” campaign to showcase the organization’s purpose and values being exemplified by students and staff. Below are the Values in Action for Fall 2022.

Purpose: To unleash potential in our community

Values: Be Adventurous; Be Collaborative-Learners; Be Solution-Driven; Be Joyful in Our Work

Be Adventurous

Have you ever heard of eSports? Have you ever played a game of Drone Soccer? Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is supporting our component districts in providing innovative ways to enrich the student experience.

Be Collaborative Learners

The Compass Program’s dynamic duo, Colleen Adams (Social Worker), and Crystal Ponto (English Teacher), work together to provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy in the classroom. This allows students to learn how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.

Collaborative

Be Solution-Driven

As one of the largest employers in Cayuga County, everyone on the BOCES team plays a critical role in our success. Kudos to all of our BOCES teammates who have stepped up to do whatever it takes to ensure our students have the best learning experience possible.

Solution-Driven

Be Joyful in Our Work

Students and staff in our 6:1:2 Program at Jordan Elbridge are embracing the BOCES Purpose and Values. They are in the process of creating a BOCES “Values in Action Wall,” highlighting the many ways they show their BOCES pride!
