Three Students Selected as NTHS Officers

Looking to make a difference in the community, three Career and Technical Education students at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES were recently elected National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) officers.

Harry Brown (Outdoor Power Equipment & Powersports Technology) was named president of NTHS. Brown said he was interested in running for the position to help promote the importance of National Technical Honor Society throughout the building.

“I was really excited to hear I was going to be president,” Brown said. “I want to help students out who want to be a part of NTHS and I’m happy to lead the charge.”

Harmony Fish (Automotive Technology) was named vice president of NTHS. Fish said this position gives her the platform to help others.

“I want to make a difference and help people out. I want to make an impact in the community and create community service hours with all the projects we’re hoping to do,” Fish said. “It’s really exciting to know I can truly make a difference as one of the leaders of NTHS.”

Angel Capron (Criminal Justice) was named secretary of NTHS. Capron said this position will allow her to have a positive impact on the community.

“I really love the community around here, so I wanted to help out,” Capron said. “I’m excited to be secretary because it gives me the chance to help those in need.”
