As a positive incentive for excelling in the classroom, students in the Compass Program at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES recently enjoyed a fun game of kickball on a beautiful autumn day.

Under blue skies and warm weather, students and teachers enjoyed playing the classic outdoor game. Compass Principal Drew Yakawiak said playing a simple game of kickball goes a long way for the students.

“The socialization is great for the kids. But it also creates a family environment and I think bringing the kids and teachers is important. A lot of positive things come from just enjoying a game of kickball,” he said.
