Day Treatment 8:1+1
The Child/Adolescent Day Treatment Program is an integrated mental health and special education program for youth ages 5 to 16 who are identified as seriously emotionally disturbed and in need of enhanced special education services. These students have intensive management needs that require both educational and mental health services. Special education teachers, school psychologists, social workers, and a consulting psychiatrist design individualized treatment plans for the students and provide counseling to the families.
The scope of services provided includes the following:

Provide a therapeutic milieu, which combines the expertise of mental health professionals (master level therapists and a consulting psychiatrist), special education teachers, and teacher aides.
Provide counseling that is individualized for each student and includes individual therapy, therapeutic groups, and medication therapy (when indicated).
Develop and implement Behavior Management Plans for students.
Host family counseling sessions that provide family therapy, case management, and home visits.
Provide academics in a supportive environment that are driven by the Individualized Education Plan.
Provide related services that may include speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
Provide nursing services to the students in Day Treatment, including administering medication and overseeing students’ medical needs on a full-time basis.
Manage student IEPs and update psychological testing as needed.
