Chris Klivak Educational Technology Integration Specialist

Christopher Klivak is one of three Educational Technology Integration Specialists with the Professional Development Unit. His efforts have been focused in the Cato-Meridian and Port Byron districts, working with teachers to enhance learning through technology integration. Chris is looking forward to bringing this service to Moravia and Weedsport starting during the 2006-2007 school year.
At Providence College, Chris received a B.A. in psychology and minored in creative writing. After working in human resources in London and then for an internet start-up in Boston, he returned to Central Connecticut State University to complete his M.S. in elementary education.
As a fourth grade teacher in Connecticut, Chris helped to develop and implement the technology curriculum at his school, supporting the continued risks and successes of his colleagues in this area. Once in Central New York, he was able to broaden his view of true professional development through his work with experienced PDU team. Chris values and uses national and state standards to create meaningful learning and inspire excellent teaching.
Chris understands the challenges of education and the need to create life-long learners. Technology provides incredible educational opportunities when paired with fantastic teachers and the eager minds of students, both of which he has found in the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES districts.
