Dennis Taylor
Professional Learning Coach
Dennis C. Taylor is in his third year as a member of the Professional Development Unit at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES. He has adjusted from working with primarily data, curriculum and assessment last year, and educational technology integration his first year, to be able to deliver integrated professional development opportunities, focusing largely on research-based instructional strategies. He also facilitates the region-wide Professional Learning Communities for Math (K-12), Languages other than English, Science (5-12), Health, Business and ELA (K-12) teachers. This year we will embark upon developing a regional day consisting of all teachers of the component schools collaborating together in March!
Dennis taught 5th grade at Cato-Meridian Middle School, before moving to Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES in July 2008. He participated in and designed or delivered many professional development opportunities in the Cato-Meridian Central School district, and assisted with the development of the Social Studies assessments at the state level.
Dennis graduated from SUNY Oswego with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, and enjoyed 11 years in the retail field before returning to SUNY Oswego to complete his Masters degree in Elementary Education. He is currently pursuing his C.A.S. through SUNY Oswego.
