Chris Klivak
Professional Learning Coach
Christopher Klivak rejoins the Professional Development Unit as an Educational Technology Integration Specialist. Five years ago, Chris was a part of the original team that designed and implemented the Enhancing Education Through Technology service through the BOCES. During his first four years with Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES, he collaborated with hundreds of teachers in Port Byron, Cato-Meridian, Weedsport and Moravia Central School Districts. His extensive work in classrooms and workshop settings has helped educators understand the relevance of technology in teaching and put in place innovative lessons to improve student learning through the integration of technology.
Christopher attended Providence College and Central Connecticut State University and started his career in education as a fourth grade teacher. He recently spent a year in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico, where he learned to speak Spanish, catch fish with his bare hands, and eat chili peppers with everything.
