SCOOLS OPAC - District Scoping
The OPAC search filter permits an additional level for searching:
SCOOLS Region
School Library System
District (This is a new level)
Building
Select and Search by School District
Select and Search Individual School
Login - Search
When you select and login to a specific location (ex. Broome, Owego Apalachin S.D., Owego Free Academy), the system retains that location as its default. You can search that location and scope out to any other level. The system will "remember" your login coordinate as "My Library."
Login to a specific location.
Scoped union catalog building search displays only that library's holdings.
Search result holdings detail for a specific location.
Search from OAA location - redirected to the entire SCOOLS database.
Interlibrary Loan Request Sequence from Location "OAA"
1. Click on the "Title" link of the item to request...expanding record displays:
2. Click "ILL Request" on the "Record Information" screen:
3. Select locations from which to borrow - Enter expiry date and notes - Click "Submit Request"
ILL Request and Response Management
Select desired function from the "drop-down" tab above.
Display "My Requests" made from the logged-in location - Click on "ILL ID" # to view details.
Display "My Responses" to view requests that have been sent to the logged-in location.
ILL Response Form
Click on an ILL ID # - View ILL Response Form - Click "Fill" or "Reject".
Forms include communication/transaction history.
Manual request form.
Building level ILL transaction statistics.
Union Database Import and Merge Utility
Participating libraries can submit new acquisitions that authorized School Library System staff can upload and merge into the union database.
