Repair Service
If you have repair tags or forms, fill out the required spaces, and attach it to the equipment. If you have a request, send it in with the BOCES mail courier. Keep the white (top) copy for your records. (See sample repair tag below - Please disregard the address, it is for the old building)
Blank repair tags/forms can be obtained from your A/V or Computer coordinator at the individual school buildings. Call us at BOCES if you need additional tags/forms. Most equipment can be brought to BOCES via the BOCES mail courier service. Bulky or very heavy items can be delivered by other methods, or on occasion, we can pick them up at your building.
If you have old equipment that you are no longer using and are getting rid of, we can sometimes use it at BOCES for spare parts. Please call first, before sending equipment in, to see if it is something we need or not.
When sending in some equipment it is necessary to send drivers, AC adapters, special power cords, etc. along with it. If the equipment uses only a standard power cord, we will not need that. We have the most common drivers installed on our computers for testing printers.
As an example for items to send in: if you suspect a bad ink cartridge on an inkjet printer is causing the problem, send the cartridge along with the printer to us. We can test the printer with that cartridge to verify the problem. Another example: we can test suspected bad printer cables, by trying a different one on your printer, or by trying it on one of our printers here.
