CO BOCES Students Receive Scholarships

For their participation in a regional technical competition, students at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES recently received scholarship opportunities from one of the top technical colleges in the country.
Select Career & Technical Education students received scholarships from Ohio Technical College for participating in the Regional SkillsUSA competition, including two students who received scholarships up to and exceeding $2,500.
Students Riley Pettit (Welding), Griffin Cole (Welding), Alex Hyland (Heavy Equipment), Blaise Northrup (Heavy Equipment), Bailey Brown (Auto Tech), Sam Townsend (Auto Tech), Cody Manitta (Auto Body), Aaron McShane (Auto Body), Lucas Sawyer (Outdoor Power) and Ethan Koch (Outdoor Power) all received $500 participation scholarships.
Noah Kieffer (Moravia High School, Auto Tech) received a $2,500 scholarship for finishing third in the Auto Vehicle Maintenance Basic competition at the SkillsUSA Regionals, and Austin Goodwin (Cato-Meridian High School, Heavy Equipment) received a $3,500 scholarship for finishing in second in the Diesel Equipment Technology competition.
