Compass Students Provide 'LIFT' to Those in Need
The Compass program successfully launched the Lift Program three years ago. The LIFT program is similar to backpack programs in schools and colleges across the country.
The goal of the LIFT program is to help students in need by discreetly providing them with backpacks full of easy-to-prepare food and hygiene products.
This year, students in our Day Treatment program joined the efforts. Mr. Hamburger and Mrs. Drinkwine’s students headed the food drive, which consisted of collecting boxes and bags of pantry items. After delivering the pantry items to the LIFT program, the students received certificates of recognition and shared cupcakes with the Compass students.
“Thank you so much for you generous support,” said Compass Principal Drew Yakawiak.
