PBIS Rocks!

Throughout this school year, Ms. House's team and students practiced Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS). They recently celebrated this year-long dedication with a rock painting party, proving that PBIS ROCKS! in Ms. House's class.

Students and staff painted and "planted" rocks of kindness and good wishes around the grounds at Port Byron's A.A. Gates Elementary School, in the hopes that others will see and enjoy the happiness these ornaments bring.

PBIS is based on principles of applied behavior analysis and the prevention approach and values of positive behavior support. PBIS is a framework for assisting school personnel with adopting evidence-based behavioral interventions within a classroom to enhance the academic and social behavior of all students.
