Early Childhood Education students visit the Child Advocacy Center

Juniors in the Early Childhood Education program at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES recently visited the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) in Auburn. During their experience, Cayuga Counseling Services Educator Tracy Bozeat-Cook facilitated a training called: Protecting Children. Students learned about the warning signs of child sexual abuse and toured the facility. The learning opportunity enhanced the students' understanding of the programs and services available to children and families in the  community.

Fun Fact: Tracy Bozeat-Cook is a graduate of CO BOCES' ECE program.  "It was great for the students to see where our program can lead beyond a daycare or preschool setting," said ECE Instructor Mrs. Casey Meyer Stephens.
