(Sept. 1, 2016) Nearly 400 Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES (CO BOCES) faculty and staff gathered this morning for a ‘Welcome Back Breakfast’ to kick off the 2016-2017 school year.
“This is the only day of the year that our entire team is together, so it’s a great opportunity to inspire, interact, and set the stage for a successful year,” said District Superintendent Denise Dzikowski.
Dzikowski began the event by unveiling CO BOCES’ new logo and website. “I'm proud to launch our refreshed branding and am confident our new logo and website will be well received by all of our stakeholders.”
Additionally, 65 new employees were introduced and four individuals were recognized for 25 years of service at CO BOCES. Congratulations to Suzanne LaPrease, Print Shop; Julie Cowal, Special Education; Randy Liberty, Special Education; and Elaine Hobart, Compass Program.
Attendees experienced state mandated training before the event's conclusion.

"I am honored and beyond excited to be working together with each and every one of you here today to tend to the minds and the souls of those entrusted to our care for the upcoming school year," Dzikowski shared with attendees. "You have my gratitude and complete support as we work to guide each and every student on a pathway to success."
