PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT STAFF
Jessica Docteur is the Deputy Superintendent for the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the instructional programs offered at the BOCES, as well as the instructional support services offered to our component districts. Jessica also provides regional and on-site professional development for building and district leaders. She also serves as a liaison between NYSED and our nine component districts as a representative to the New York State Staff and Curriculum Development Network. Jessica began her career teaching high school math in the Westhill Central School District. After earning her Certificate of Advanced Studies from Syracuse University, she left the classroom in 2006 to enter the field of educational leadership. Jessica worked as the Secondary Curriculum Coordinator in the Marcellus Central School District from 2006 until 2010. She began her career at BOCES as the Director of Curriculum and Staff Development. Jessica currently resides in Weedsport with her husband and two children.

Pamela McHenry is a Professional Learning Coach providing support for Jordan-Elbridge, Auburn, and Union Springs. What Pam enjoys most about her role is building relationships with educators as she works towards district initiatives and goals. Prior to joining the PDU team, Pam was part of the Fulton City School District teacher leadership team as a 5-12th grade math coach. Pam joined that team after 13 years of teaching experience in Fulton as a secondary mathematics teacher. She also has 2 years of secondary mathematics teaching experience in Staunton, Virginia. Pam has both her BS in Education and her MS in curriculum and development from SUNY Oswego. She currently lives in Union Springs with her three children.

Tracy Musso is the Shared Curriculum Coordinator for Moravia and Southern Cayuga districts. In her role she supports teachers and administrators with district initiatives and provides professional development services based on best practices and current research. A particular focus of her work is creating standards-based units and assessments and prioritizing /aligning curriculum. For the past 5 years, Tracy served as the Instructional Coach for Moravia, Southern Cayuga, Jordan-Elbridge, and Skaneateles districts. Prior to that, she taught secondary English for Southern Cayuga Central School District and Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES Career and Technical Education programs. Additionally, she taught as an adjunct instructor at Cayuga Community College for several years.
After graduating from Wells College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, Tracy earned a Master of Arts Degree in English at SUNY Cortland. She is currently pursuing her CAS at SUNY Cortland.

Katie Naples is a new member of the Professional Development Unit. Katie has spent the past ten years working in the Auburn Enlarged City School District as a teacher in grades K-2. She has also worked in Port Byron and in the Catholic Schools in the City of Syracuse. Her experience includes delivering and differentiating instruction in a co-teaching model, engaging students through technology and hands-on experiences, and collaborating to have data-rich discussions. Katie will work with the staff and students at Port Byron and Skaneateles to build on the strengths of teachers through collaboration, problem solving, and exploring creative research-based instructional practices to increase student achievement. Katie will also be providing support for the teachers of Cayuga-Onondaga County BOCES Alternative Education, Career & Technical Education and Special Education Programs. After graduating from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor degree in Childhood Education, Katie earned a Masters degree in Students with Disabilities from LeMoyne College. She? is currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership program at LeMoyne. Katie resides in Marcellus with her husband and their two children.

Melissa O'Donnell just recently joined the Professional Development Unit as a Curriculum Coordinator. Prior to joining the professional development team, she spent eight years serving the Syracuse City School District as a classroom teacher and a multi-classroom leader coaching her peers. Melissa is beginning her support work with teachers and administrators in both Cato-Meridian and Port Byron School Districts. She is most looking forward to building strong relationships with educators and empowering them to push their students toward academic success. Melissa holds a BA as well as an MS in education from SUNY Cortland and recently received her CAS from SUNY Oswego. She currently lives in Clay with her husband and rescue pup, Shay.

Megan Rohlin is the Coordinator of Professional Development at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES. In this role, Megan coordinates and supports all regional professional development efforts, serves as a liaison amongst all BOCES professional development providers, and develops, delivers and assesses regional professional development initiatives and opportunities based on district needs. Most recently, Megan served as a Professional Learning Coach with the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES. She joined the Professional Development Unit after twelve years of teaching experience in the Auburn Enlarged City School District. Megan earned a BA from Syracuse University and M.S.Ed from SUNY Oswego. She is currently enrolled in SUNY Oswego’s Educational Leadership program.

Laura Torres currently serves as the Administrative Assistant in the Professional Development Unit. She is responsible for the coordination of event logistics as well as workshop registrations for all professional development opportunities provided through the Integrated Professional Learning and Comprehensive School Improvement Cosers. Laura has been with the BOCES since 2001. She has two grown children and resides with her husband in Port Byron.
