Commercial Driving Program CDL-A and CDL-B

Our CDL program will prepare you for a great career! You'll learn about safety regulations, pre-trip checks, shifting, and driving techniques to help you meet the road test requirements.

Program requirements for students are:
Class A - 21 years or older
Class B - 18 years or older
Possess valid New York State Driver's License
Possess CDL Class A or B learner's permit with the following endorsements:
- Class A: General Knowledge, Air Brake, and Combination
- Class B: General Knowledge, and Air Brake
Ability to pass D.O.T. physical
Transition for CDL-B to CDL-A: Students must have current CDL-B License and CDL-A learner's permit.
Successful students should possess the following:
Good driving history
Good physical condition
Good vision/depth perception
Class information:
Classes begin each month (weather permitting)
Instruction includes 9 classroom hours. Classroom sessions are 6 PM to 9 PM
Driving time will be scheduled on an individual basis

Cost:
CDL-A: $2,800.00 - includes 70 hours of classroom instruction and driving time
CDL-B: $2,000.00 - includes 50 hours of classroom instruction and driving time
Transitional CDL-B to CDL-A: $1,200.00 - includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and driving time
CDL Evaluation: $150.00 - lasts two hours
Hourly CDL: $75.00 per hour - minimum two hour blocks
If you require additional driving time beyond the scheduled hours, additional time can be allotted at the rate of $75.00 per hour.
